Novelty Characteristics:
Pansy-Viola cross resulting in the best characteristics of both - extremely free flowering, recovers quickly from freezing to full flower, lasts longer into hot weather than pure pansy

Market Use:
Ideal for mass plantings to provide great expanses of color; good for garden borders, container use - ideal garden plant

Recommended Growing/Selling Form:
Packs to 4" pots, mixed containers

Flower:
Small flowered type - 1" to 1.5" in diameter, borne in great profusion

Colors Available:
Antique Shades, Beacon, Blue, Blue and Yellow, Frosty Rose, Lemon Yellow, Mulberry Shades, Ocean, Orange, Pink Shades, Plum Purple, Red with Blotch, Red and Yellow, Rose with Blotch, Rose Pink, Rose with Blotch, White, Yellow, Formula Mix

Germination Conditions:
Emergence 3-7 days / 68-73 F / cover seed
must be kept moist for uniform emergence.

Growing:
Temp: 68 F day / 50-60 F night
Fert.: 100-150 ppm nitrogen
EC: 1.0-2.25 mS/cm
pH: 5.5-5.8 - above 5.8, pansies become more susceptible to Thielaviopsis

Garden:
Pansies thrive in full sun to bright filtered light, and provide great quantities of color for enjoyment.

Notes:
After seedling establishment allow media to cycle through wet/dry periods.
Avoid prolonged saturation.
Monitor pH carefully. High pH will lead to nutrient deficiency.
Fertilizers formulated for Pansies or calcium-based fertilizers are preferred.

 
*Trial was completed in the springtime in costal California. Rates suggested as a starting point. Growers should adjust rates according to their own growing conditions.
